Abstract

Using the case study, a participatory agro-ecological survey was performed of the practices of crop
management, types of inputs and technologies currently applied by farming families of satellite
farms of the Farm School Casiciaco Haren Alde, in this way, identified 21 indicators of the state of
health of the soils and crops in the plots. The results showed that for the management of crops and
the existing conditions of the health of the soil, the type of predominant agricultural system is the
transition toward the agroecology. Indicators of crop health were found to have agroecological levels
in most farms. Of the six farms studied, a farm with characteristics of being an agroecological lighthouse
was found. These results serve as a baseline, which would make recommendations and make
future comparisons of the evolution of farms over time.
