Análisis crítico del escrito “La influencia cristiana en la filosofía latinoamericana”.
Keywords:
Christianism, Church, Latin American philosophy, Social-political thinking, Latin AmericaAbstract
Studies about the specific influences of Christianism upon the development of the Latin American
philosophical thinking are infrequent. The need to clarify and differentiate the influence of the ecclesiastic
institution upon Christian philosophy is a pending topic. In this paper, we analyze one of the
few works that addresses this issue. Using procedures for critical analysis of texts, we found important
deficits in a study which serves as a divulgative text in an introductory level. Although it leaves several
central themes without a rich analysis, it can provide a basis for an ulterior elucidation of this important
issue, determinant for the clarification of the origins and evolution of the philosophy and social-political
thinking of our continent.
