This study is about the Geographical Water Footprint, previous investigations of the annual reports from 2003 to 2017 have been used, as well as some investigations from the Technological University of Panama, Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey and others. The Water footprint has some previous studies, and in this case The Geographical Water Footprint (GWF) was used to define that is on the ships that transit this interoceanic route. The problem is to test if the 52 million of gallons used by each vessel that passes through the Panama Canal are really sustainable over time according to current expectations. The importance of this study is to have a figure based on that provided by Panama Canal itself (ACP) on GWF depending on the expense generated from the fresh water used by each vessel and obtain another way to check its authenticity outside from the authority that manages the Panama Canal. This importance benefits the inhabitants and the community, both national and international, due to that the supply of drinking water depends on the Panama Canal itself. The study is presented contrasting the different figures found and for its falsification or verification according to the deductive hypothetical method, due in large measure to an explanation supported by the Panama Canal Authority. At the end of the study, it is expected to find through falsifiability, the forcefulness or otherwise of the data provided by Panama Canal Authority.
