The text establishes the relationship beween the Fourth Columbian Voyage and the Discovery of the Pacific, as well as the cincunnavegation of Magellan-Elcano expedition, with the foundation of Panama. It explains Panama´s early link age with the first globalization of the economy since the mid-16th century, thanks to the Peruvian silver and the fair system, as reflected in the rescue, in wreks, of Panamanian Ceca coins, wich go round the world, and numerous material objects, such as Ming porcelain. It also analyzes the Chinese porcelain marks and the typological and morphological characteristics of the porcelain found in Nombre de Dios, to establish wich imperial period they correspond to.
